Birds of Australia STORYBOX Launch Event

What’s Happening on Launch Day?

Come along to the Hub Forecourt for the launch of The Birds of Australia STORYBOX

• Hear from the team behind the project at The Australian Museum and STUDIO ESEM, the creators of the STORYBOX.  They will demonstrate the interactive QR experience and answers questions about how the work was created
  
  
• Get involved with a dance performance from Wagana Dancers on the forecourt with special guests from local schools
  
  
• Craft activities from the Blue Mountains Neighbourhood Centre will be available to keep the kids entertained
  
  
• Listen to Members from WIRES explain how to help injured native birds and demonstrate how to create a temporary nest
  
  
• Visit stalls from community groups including Blue Mountains Conservation Society, The Blue Mountains Bushcare team, and BMCC Environmental Education Team
  
  
• Grab a coffee from the coffee cart

Inside the Hub, view the Planetary Health Photography exhibition featuring local photographers Warren Hinder, Merryl Watkins, and Holly Kent. This is ongoing throughout the installation.

You can also see the replica of the Gould’s book in the Springwood Library.
